Prima Class Sneak Peeks...

Well my friends, I am happy to say that yet another class sample is complete for the upcoming Artsy Adventure Tour in Australia and New Zealand!

This is the Prima class featuring the newly released Sun Kiss Collection. The beautiful yellow and blue colour palette is sure to warm your heart. The kit is bursting with gorgeous papers, housed in a canvas album and decorated beautifully with co-ordinating trims, art tiles, chipboard and of course a plethora of different flowers!

We will learn some cool techniques for making the most of your products and using them in ways you may not have yet considered.

Pink Paislee Class Sneak Peeks...

I know you have all anxiously been awaiting sneak peeks of the classes that will be a part of the Artsy Adventure Tour. So I am thrilled to share the first of the samples with you today.

This class features the stunningly beautiful Spring Jubilee Collection- recently released at CHA in Anaheim. The vibrant colour palette combined with the eclectic collage of images lend themselves perfectly in a project such as this Trinkets and Treasures Album. We will also be using numerous products from the Mistables line so we can add our own little bits of flavour throughout.

This mini album features numerous techniques throughout to create little pockets, flaps, etc that are perfect for storing some of your little Trinkets and Treasures. You will learn some creative layering techniques that will force you to forever look differently at your patterned paper stash.

You will have the opportunity to CUSTOMIZE your album cover by changing up the base paint colour (if you so desire) and of course the title can be ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE!!!! I always like for students to personalize their projects if they wish and leave room for them to do so where possible. My goal is to make sure you have a project you can use and show off with pride when you leave so if MY title doesn't appeal to you... NO WORRIES! You will have a plethora of other letters in your jam packed kits to choose from:D

This class will be offered at the following stores as part of my Artsy Adventure Tour in Australia and New Zealand May 4- June 10 of this year. Hey everyone!

As I am sure you are all getting anxious to see the actual class photos, I wanted to let you know that I AM working like a wild woman on them! I want to make sure that I design the very best class for you that I can and unfortunately I have not mastered the art of speed scrapping- I keep going back and changing things to get it JUST RIGHT! In the meantime, I want to show you some of my PAST classes from the past year or so to give you a feel for my "style".... how does that sound?

First up is a Prima album I designed using the Pastiche Collection. Remember that one? I think that is still one of my all time favourite paper collections... LOVED it!

I have taught numerous card classes too. I LOVE the Graphic 45 papers and I often included those in my card classes.

Here is a Prima layout from last spring using the Melody Collection. This was a fun layout class that I taught several times and even did a Live With Prima Episode from one of the classes. I bet that if you really wanted too, you could check the LWP archives and watch the episode:D

Another Prima class, this was using the Printery Collection last fall. I had the privilege of teaching it in the Netherlands and again on a Live With Prima episode. Definitely a great class with lots of tips and tricks for adding lots of sun surprises throughout.

This was not a class but it is a fun piece of wall art I created recently. I used a plethora of Tim Holtz products along with a few other trinkets I have collected over time.

Here is a fun class that I designed for Tattered Angels TV just before Christmas. It features some fabulous Pink Paislee goodies that were altered with Glimmer Mist, etc. I just LOVE the Mistables Collection and if you want a little hint... you just might see some of these products in the Pink Paislee Class I am teaching for the Artsy Adventure Tour;)

Authentique.... I love their papers and embellishments! They works so very well not only on their own but with others as well. I love the heavy weight textured cardstock.

I did not teach this layout in a class but I did use it for my article with Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine.

Those of you ladies whom I met last November as part of Prima ROad Show already know that I am all about the layers and if you look closely, you will notice a few of the same techniques.

I am not so sure how many layers there were on this one but I am fairly certain it was around the 75 mark. YUP! I kid you not...

By the time you flip open the flaps...

and count the tags and layers of papers and embellishments, it does not take long to get to that high number. It's become a challenge lately to see just how many layers I can pile on there and I think this one probably has the most so far!

So a little tidbit you probably didn't know about me... I had the honour of teaching at the uber fabulous Creative Escape in Arizona in 2010(the BIG event put on by Bazzill and Heidi Swapp). So this and the next few pics are of the table display I had showcasing some of my projects...

There were a huge variety of samples there but if you look closely, you will get the idea.

This is not the most flattering picture of me...lol! I am little "puffy" but it was when I was not in the best of health and undergoing some treatments so it'll have to do:) If you have ever been in a class with me, you will know my motto is "Lumps and Bumps are a good thing" and MAYBE I will share where this comes from one day, but let's just say this photo was taken during the time where that became my theory and I have since learned to "Embrace the lumps and bumps" as it is far better than the alternative;)

I am beyond thrilled to share that I will be bringing the Artsy Adventure Tour to Artfull Crafts for a special {Inter}National Scrapbook Day/ weekend event May 4-6 as part of the Artsy Adventure Tour!

Not just Australia anymore....

Well hello there everyone! I must apologize, I have not updated in a couple of weeks (sorry!). I have recently returned from CHA in California where I had the opportunity to not only catch up with some of the wonderful people at Prima and make some plans for the Prima class on my Artsy Adventure Tour but I also had the privilege of working with both Authentique and Pink Paislee during the show. What a great group of people within each of those companies and catching the response from store owners to the latest and greatest in their booths was awesome! I was thrilled to see such a positive response by so many and knowing that I will be using these gorgeous products in my classes excited me to no end!

Another fabulous thing about CHA is that I had the privilege of not only seeing a couple of store owners who are already participating on the Artsy Adventure Tour but I had the privilege of meeting many others who are just as excited as I am. What is also fabulous is that I met a couple of wonderful who wanted to be a part of this fun filled event. So without further adieu I want to introduce you to one of the recently added Host Stores....

I am THRILLED to announce that the Artsy Adventure Tour is also heading to New Zealand!!! I will be at Scrapaholics in Howick, Auckland, NZ June 8-10 for FOUR classes. We are in the works of finalizing all of the details surrounding this special addition and we will share all of the details soon. I look forward to adding this store to my line up and look forward to meeting many new friends in New Zealand.

In the meantime, know that I have gotten to work on the actual samples and will hopefully have them finished soon. Within the next couple of days, I will be posting sneak peeks of some of the products I am planning on using and would LOVE your input! You have undoubtedly seen some of the newest releases from Prima, Authentique and Pink Paislee. Which ones are your favourites? I would LOVE to know! Early Bird Contest... REPOST

Hey everyone!

As you are enjoying your summer down under, I thought I would let you know that winter has hit us here in Canada in a BAD way! It was -26 C today with winds dropping the temperatures to a frigid -39C. They are calling for -50 C tonite (frostbite will occur to any unexposed skin in a matter of about 5 minutes). Enjoy your heat and think of me freezing up here in the great white north...lol!

Anyways, I am not sure what was up with the blog as to why people could not comment on the previous post with the contest details so I am posting it again... let's hope it works this time:)

Anyways, I wanted to kick off our Artsy Adventure with a bang. It is my intention to share lots of goodies over the coming weeks and months with all those who are coming to play with me in Australia. For those of you who may not have had the chance to take a class with me last time (or maybe you did and KNOW you want to come again) and are considering registering for one or more of the classes that will be offered by 11 different AMAZING Host Stores throughout Australia, I thought I would share a previous class kit with one lucky recipient. Now while you are looking at the classes being offered by the various Host Stores, you are probably wondering what they classes are going to be. Well... here is a brief description of each to wet your appetite! I can tell you that I am awaiting my boxes of BRAND NEW Pink Paislee, Authentique and Prima products so I can get to work designing the ACTUAL projects (I figured you gals all want the new stuff, right?!). Pictures will be pasted as soon as they are complete but know that they will remain true to the description as best as possible. I will also mention that the kits will be BURSTING with fabulous products from each of these manufacturers and then some. There will be prizes and giveaways leading up to and during the classes to build up excitement. I want this to be FUN and what better way than to put together a few contests along the way! Okay, first... here are the descriptions:

On the upcoming Artsy Adventure Tour, there will be up to three amazing classes to choose from at a local scrapbook store in Australia near you. Each class will focus on one of 3 very different yet all amazing manufacturers. So Excited to Announce...

After an extremely successful round of classes in Australia this past November as part of the Prima Road Show Team, I was delighted to have been invited back to the beautiful land down under. Of course I am more than happy to oblige!

I have been working feverishly over the past couple of weeks with the amazing store owners who have graciously agreed to host some new classes as a part of this upcoming tour. It is my sincerest wish that you will grab a friend or two and join in on the fun that is sure to be had by all.
